Tourism in Antalya

The five-year development process of Antalya tourism, which develops at an extremely fast pace, leaving traces in the world tourism literature, is summarized in the table below. Starting with a terrible jump of 680% in the period 1985-95, Antalya, which has now reached 600,000 beds, currently constitutes one third of the country's capacity. However, with the length of the season length and the average length of stay, 60% of the main share of the performance, which is the main performance indicator, is not perceived sufficiently and is constantly ignored. In parallel with this element, the fact that more than half of the country's tourism revenues are produced in Antalya should be realized and all analyzes should be considered within this framework. The most critical problem in tourism in Antalya is the fact that its sub-regions have not been managed as efficiently as a whole, despite the fact that it is a developed and internationally proven destination.

The biggest bottleneck is the marketing element, which has not been put into practice yet, since it has been on the agenda for many years, the company cannot be put into practice in the promotion organization. Due to the lack of common values ​​due to the functional and organizational clutter of the local tourism stakeholders and the inability of the local marketing and investment-business-marketing processes to be properly disciplined, the balances in many areas have been overturned.
